FROM THE DOWNLOAD FESTIVAL >  Top band "No Hope  in New Jersey" will play at this years festival. What they say:  "With a huge, ballsy arena-filling sound that drips with pure rock attitude, No Hope in New Jersey are a breath of fresh air."

The debut single from the band will be "Decline."
Taken from the forthcoming debut album, "Decline" will be available on limited edition 7" and enhanced cd single and is in the shops on 8th August.

The album " Steady Diet of Decline" will be in the shops on 22nd August.

Saturday 25 June > NEXUS Winners VALHALLAH & EMISSION > Saturday night was buzzin with 6 fantastic bands at quality venue NEXUS in Earlsdon, Coventry. Storming onto the stage 14yr olds "SUPERSONIC" giving all to the large crowd with the professionalism of bands twice their age!. Will Jones 15yr old singer and front man for  "ECHOPLEX" had the audience screaming form more... Quality rock from" REASON OF JUNE" with front man Andrew Cooper. "VALHALLA" "E-MISSION" stole the night with pure quality rock music and a slick professional stage show... See these bands for yourself at the festival on Sunday 3rd July, this is the best you can get!

Thursday 23 June > DOGMA Winners LOADSTAR. What a great venue!! 5 superb acts took the stage at the cool new neon lit Dogma bar, down stairs. The evening was kicked off by high energy 3 piece " The Fatal Mistake" tight set & entertaining banter from planet Uranus or was it Telford? (sorry you had to be there). An incredible set from Birmingham Tierney Brothers and Dan "ELIXIR" rocking Dogma with catchy lyrics, keyboards and an Indian drum finish... quality, make sure you see them live.  Coventry's own Matt Fisher's new band " WHAT ABOUT CUBE" mixes classical cello, acoustic guitar and funky bass, great music, great entertainment destin to be a hit.        18yr olds "LAID TO WASTE" powerful guitar and top vocals from energetic front man Carl Marshall (21). The night finished with Birmingham class act WINNERS "LOADSTAR" kicking ass with a tight professional set of rock / rap routine from front man Pete Allen tight Bass & Drums had the large crowd shouting for more...more..more...  These boys are guaranteed to entertain at this years festival. What a great night, again record companies these are top bands chosen from over 200 entry's. Put Sunday 3 July 2PM in your diary and see them perform on the main concert stage in Coventry City Centre. >Run Order<

Under 18's bands now added NEXUS. 2 Bands will be chosen to play at this years Free Festival on Sunday 3rd July.

Thursday 16th JUNE > The Phoenix > WOW another great night. 3 Great Bands and a little relief to the eardrums with Leni Ward & Martin Lander standing centre stage with an acoustic guitar. EVEN BLUE stormed in cracking the night into action with their tight bass and drums harmonising with great guitar and powerful vocals. Birmingham boys THE WILD ROSES fit to be Hollywood Rock stars gave everything their leathers could contain... the pink mic stand and matching pink handcuffs added the final touch to the tight guitar riffs, drums & bass, a must see band that really rocks. Leni Ward is quality, don't miss the opportunity to see this girl, amazing vocals & guitar that will knock you down with her incredible lyrics. Mawda stole the night with their huge stage presence and unusual electric violin riffs. Martin Lander took  centre stage with his acoustic and with his own songs producing a sound that could fill the Albert Hall. He was so good everyone wanted more, more more......

 

Tuesday 14th JUNE > Warwick University Students Union was packed out with fans supporting 6 amazing bands from Warwickshire. Without doubt this night set new standards in musical excellence. A good mix in music got every one dancing.... you missed out if you weren't there! WINNERS CUBALL 8 Stole the night with "Stupid stupid stupid & Steve's" tight set with brass section storming the Graduate Club. Watch out for "The Fallen" tight catchy rifs... good lookin guys, everything going for them.  " The Lost Children" performed an excellent set with "Tears for Tomorrow" and "Circle 3" providing the audience with their professional high standards...quality. If any record companies read this "you are missing out"!!!

Those who didn't get down to Scholars missed out on a treat! The high standard of the  bands was amazing. You would think they were all signed to major labels...  Winners THE DIRTY BACKBEATS stole the night with their unique beats from girl Drummer Jess (quality) fronted by crazy lead singer Grant. Can't wait to see them at the festival, entertainment out of this world.
